Swelling is increasing on one side but is decreasing on the other. Is this a problem?

Currently on day 6 and the swelling is beginning to go down now but only on my right side. I had surgery to pull the top jaw forward and push the bottom jaw back to the left (underbite and crossbite). I understand that swelling should still be high however, the area underneath on my left hand side is starting to swell even more than before and become really painful compared to the right (struggling to lift my head up). Is this just part of the process because they’ve moved my jaw to the left so that’s affected more?
