What are free/cheap and creative ways to promote a kickstarter campaign?

I'm going to launch a kickstarter campaign soon. What are some out of the box and creative ways to promote kickstarter without running ads and spending too much money? Does anyone have experience with such an approach? If so, how successful or unsuccessful were you?
