Mentally Ill Mother Threatening to Sue

Background: My mom was Baker Acted 3 times in 2 weeks back in 2021 in Florida. After the third time, the mental facility just kept holding her for 72 hours and releasing her to the streets with a diagnosis of “psychosis/a brief psychotic break”, but she kept getting Baker Acted for the same thing. I’m her durable Power of Attorney, so I had her put into a Memory Care facility (this was all new and I’m the only family she has) since I wasn’t sure what else to do. They gave her medicine and she left after 3 weeks when she got back to normal. Fast forward 6 months and she stopped taking her medicine and was Baker Acted again, so I put her in another facility for a month and a half. They got her back on medicine and back to herself, but they’ve never diagnosed her with Schizophrenia, despite saying that’s what her symbols point to.

Fast forward to early 2025 and she’s back off her medicine (and back to her usual paranoia) and is threatening to sue me for abusing her PoA. She claims because she didn’t have an official diagnosis of anything beyond psychosis I shouldn’t have been able to use her money to place her in those facilities. The facility accepted her, which I assume means she qualified to be placed there. Is there any legitimacy to her threat? I’m my experience I don’t think a lawyer would even take the case unless she could really hold herself together to keep her paranoia out of it.
