[2e][5e][Online/EU][Weekend][Newbie Friendly] Looking for players as a new DM

Hello,

Full transparency I am a new DM that has started playing a 5e game with friends but have the itch to play more so looking for some players. I want to DM and learn 2e (but some slight modifications) which I have never played but have watched some DnD campaigns that used it and think its interesting. HOWEVER, I am not sure how popular 2e is so I am also more than happy to stick to 5e (probably the newer 2024 rules as I have the books)

It's beginner friendly, I am still learning ALL of the rules for all cases for 5e and I havent played or DM'd 2e before so this would be perfect for anyone who is new or newish to 5e if we go that route or has experience with 5e and interest in 2e but also new to that.

I prefer 2-4 players so 4 would be max preference is 3 though, even 2 would be fine as I think a snaller group is more fun as there is more time dedicated to each player both for role playing and combat.

If you are familiar with it (but I doubt anyone is) I take inspiration from Koibu and his DM style - https://regalgoblins.com/ If you aren't (i dont expect anyone to be) basically it would be a homebrew world of my own but using either using 2e with Koibus modifications (https://regalgoblins.fandom.com/wiki/2-Neal) or using 5e 2024 edition (the new books) if we go with that as again I am indifferent really.

It would be a slightly dark fantasy theme where there is some difficulty and clever solutions is encouraged where death is a possibility - I don't/won't try to kill anyone or be unfairly difficult but I like DMing a semi realistic world where bad ideas or mistakes can have consequences, and generally combat can be on the difficult side if not prepared for properly (but for new players we would start off easy and build up to that!!)

Roleplay would be important and planning/figuring out optimal next steps and ideas.

Happy to help anyone learn even first time players only thing I ask is be OK with your character potentially dying long term, if you definitely don't want to play a game where character death is possible then I am not the DM for you.

The homebrew world would be very similar to a normal DnD fantasy world just have its own map and pantheon.

First time players are welcome and I am more than happy to help anyone learn.

I use Foundry. I don't automate everything, just use it for basics tokens and battlemaps and rolls.

I am not a great actor or good at doing voices/accents in my DM roleplay so if you're looking for that then I am not the DM for you either as I am slightly autistic but high functioning I swear :)

I can do any day apart from Monday but aiming for Friday, Saturday or Sunday evenings EU/UK/GMT time

EDIT: FYI I am busy this week so probably wont reach out to the people that expressed interest until the weekend! Thanks though
