MacBook overheating when playing games

I’m using MacBook Air 15inch and because it’s M2 chip so I’m not sure if it was my CPU’s way to weak to run gta5, it’s buring if I play for 10mins, I cant even touch the space (upper keyboard) for more than 3 secs, will it damage my MacBook?
