Marriott Associate- Employee Discounts

Hey y’all! Looking for some help and tips about booking rooms under the associate rate. I’m an actual employee and for some reason it seems that I can only get a friends and family rate? I was under the impression that associates get up to 50% off, but as I’m looking at rooms on the app my rate is barely giving me a discount. Am I doing something wrong?

I put in “mmp” prior to searching but the hotels prices still seem to be regularly priced for the most part. These days on the rare occasion where I decide to use my employee discount, it’s little to no discount at all and it’s frustrating so I just want to see if I’m doing something wrong. I know availability and demand may play a factor but maybe I’m missing something? Thank you in advance for the insight!
