Our American Complaintocracy

So much in our country is underinvested. I can be a victim or I can at least complain and get something.

It's always a shame when you arrive at a hotel at which you've never stayed and you realize how neglected it is vs. other hotels of the same brand. This is probably the worst Fairfield I have seen in a long time, though I will say the room was reasonably clean and the lobby was neat.

Property: Fairfield Inn & Suites Atlanta Buford/Mall of Georgia - Buford, GA, USA

Complaint: I noted several issues while staying at this property for only one night, including: 1) Only one toaster in breakfast area which was completely broken 2) Very outdated entertainment options in room (no support for apps) 3) Safety issues with signage in room (instructs guests to dial 9 for an outside line when dialing 911, but that's been illegal for six years). This property was reasonably clean and well maintained despite its age but they need to make a capital investment in it at some point. It's clearly years behind a normal renovation schedule. My stay wasn't categorically bad, but there were issues noted and I would choose another property if staying in the area again.

Response: As a one-time gesture of goodwill, I have requested 2000 points be deposited into your Marriott Bonvoy® account. You can expect to receive the Marriott Bonvoy® points in up to two business days. While I know nothing can make up for your inconvenience, I hope these points will allow us another opportunity to provide you with the excellent services you expect from us.
