Not only ranks are inflated in this game, general skill level in this game is really low

Even One Above All players in this game are awful compared to other games's top rank players. OoA is filled with washed up Overwatch players and mediocre by Overwatch's standard players like Nevix who never shown stellar performance in pro play there is considered one of the best tanks in Marvel Rivals. You have streamer frauds like Jay3, Flats, Necros, fucking Timthetatman being worshipped in this game while farming out ranked points in stacks when they are all really bad in Overwatch (note: bad relative to actual top players, Necros 's Genji, for example, probably has about the same skill gap from top Genji players like Whoru, Haksal, Heesang as he has from a silver Genji) and could only impress some gold players with their skill. Everyone in MR "high ranks" have a massive undeserved ego and all of that applies BEFORE you take into account rank inflation, which makes things even worse when gold Overwatch players can easily get to GM-Celestial in this game and get a wrong impression that they are good at the game.

I recently went to do my placements in Overwatch and plat-diamond lobbies I was getting there felt harder than Celestial lobbies, I would probably guess they are on par with Eternity lobbies in terms of player skill and pace of the game, and that's considered to be mid ranks in Overwatch. The difference was jarring, and I found myself really rusty compared to people who kept playing Overwatch while I was playing Marvel Rivals.

All of this is largely due to a fact that this is a brand new game and playerbase in Overwatch was even worse than that at similar stage of its life, so would expect skill level to rise significantly in the coming years and few years from now current One Above All players will feel like plats of their time.
