Woman arrived late to concert, stood in front of me, blocked my view, wouldn’t move

I was recently at a packed indoor concert. The venue had several levels and all were standing room only. I’m pretty short (5”3’) so found a spot early that was behind a few people but had a decent pocket of stage view.

About 30 minutes after I got there, a woman showed up and stood in the emergency exit aisle beside me, trying to see the stage. An usher came up and told her you can’t stand there for fire safety. This had happened a million times. Most people just shrugged. But this particular woman just slid out of the fire row and directly in front of me, like her back was now 3 inches from my face. I couldn’t see at all.

I politely tapped her, told her I was standing here and she’d blocked my view. She said “you want me to move?” I said yes please. Then She just turned back around. I tapped her again, thinking maybe she didn’t hear me. She said “you want me to move?” a second time. I said yes you’re blocking my view. Once again, she just turned back around to face the stage.

Finally I went and got the usher. Luckily the usher understood and walked up to this woman and said “ma’am you just got here, its standing room for everyone and it’s not fair for you to slide right in front of people who were already here and block their view.” The woman blinked at us both and said “ok so you want me to move, I’ll move” then turned back to the stage AGAIN. The usher tapped her and said “please move now.” The woman finally moved while glaring at me the whole time. I said “thanks so much for listening” with a big ass smile as she walked away.
