should i watch mulholland drive?
hello ! i have a doubt but this question needs a bit of introduction for it to make sense - it will seem like it's all out of context at first but bear with me. i'm a very anxious person but i have (little, but it's still there) experience with some horror movies (like midsommar). some time ago i tried to watch the substance and i had to get out of the theatre because i felt like i was going to faint for a bunch of reasons: the sounds and the fact that i'm a raging hypocondriac being some of them. i can't handle body horror but it doesn't mean i can't handle disturbing movies in general, i watched my fair share of it (i don't know if in the mouth of madness is a good example but...). now a cinema in my city is doing a lynch tribute and they're showing mulholland drive and the straight story: i would like to see both but i my friends are giving me shit bc they fear i won't be able to handle them, especially the first one. what do i do? i did my research and i think i might be able to watch it and even love it but i'm afraid i will ruin my friend's experience and i'm almost tempted to watch it by myself at home. what do you think?
edit: keep in mind neither me or my friends ever watched anything by lynch so they're not talking from experience...
