Is The French Connection on prime unaltered?

In honor of Gene Hackman passing I decided I'd watch The French Connection as well as some other classic featuring him, in memoriam. However I remember there being this hugh controversy a few years ago about The French Connection being altered on streaming with parts of the film censored or cut short. The same sort of thing was happening to other movies as well, like Splash. So my question is, is the film intact on Prime or has it been compromised? I'd rather not buy a movie I have no idea I'll like but if it's been altered on all streaming I guess I'll buy an old DVD off of eBay.
