We want to change our child’s name after meeting him

We had a boy dec 17th, and we didn’t know the sex until he arrived. We discussed boy names and had a hard time picking one, so we decided on my grandfathers name Emilio. And now that we have gotten to know our babe, he’s really not an Emilio. They had gotten his last name wrong on his birth certificate and we have to go through a change anyway, and we are considering reintroducing baby as a new name and not his original name.

Any body go through this and have advice or can share the experience? It seems so silly to do, but also like the better choice.
