My uneducated observations about the venue
disclaimer I'm from rural Ohio, I've only started to be able to go to any shows at all last year, this is my first ever punk rock show, and this is the furthest I've ever been away from home. So I do not know what I'm talking about.
Parking- there was $30 and $50 parking by the venue CASH ONLY. By 11:30am there was only $50 parking. You can not leave and come back from these spots without paying again
Verifying ID for drinking- they came around while we were still in line to get in. They checked id, then gave you a wristband
Security getting in- you can bring bags, totes, rolling carts. They do not need to be see through. They said no large backpacks. The sign says no high back or low back chairs. I think that means you could bring no back chairs, but I did not see anyone with them.
Beer tasting- they give you a little cup when you walk in that is yours and you take around to the beer venders. The lines move very quick. Lots to try. They had hard seltzers to try too.
Stages- located directly next to each other. The early sets had no break time at all in between, the later sets started having more. There was 45 minutes between Dropkick Murphy's and NOFX.
Seating- non-existent for regular tickets, not much better for VIP. There is 6.3 million people there, and 6 picnic tables. Very little shade, people would sit on the concrete at any location that has even a bit of shade. Bring sunscreen. I saw low of people sharing sunscreen with strangers.
Food- looking at around $20 per meal. Lots of options all around the outside perimeter
Venders- lots of venders. Looks like the merch for all the bands stay up the whole time, you won't miss the line of tents for band merch against the back wall. Other venders in the middle shout out to Punk Rock Saves Lives
Shows- of course they were all unbelievable!
People- everyone was super nice!
Cleanliness - people did great at picking up after themselves!
