Fangirling at Slipknot concert
I was at a Slipknot concert at a festival a while ago, and this interaction stayed with me. The backstory here is I am a pretty huge Slipknot fan and basically started loosing my shit as soon as their logo fell and the concert started. I was screaming, crying, all that fangirl stuff you do at your first concert with a band you really like. What happened next is what I'm curious about.
The lady behind me asked if I could stop my screaming, and that yelling was okay, but her ears couldn't handle my high-pitched screams lol. I toned it down after that because she was really nice about it and I honestly didn't find the request unreasonable. I still had a great time after that, just a little more calm haha
My question here is if it's bad etiquette at major alternative concerts to be a fangirl, since the only other concerts I've gone to have been underground punk concerts, where it's basically just anarchy if you're not a total asshole. I just want to know if it's something I should avoid in the future.
Tldr; is it bad etiquette to fangirl and scream, etc. At major concerts like a Slipknot Concert?
