4XXX GPUs Coil Whine Survey

Hi there guys, after reading some reports of coil whine, and also one my cards as well, wanted to know if you guys suffer coil whine as well, on your 4070Ti/4080/4090 card.

On my case:

• ASUS TUF 4090 (non-OC): HORRIBLE coil whine, like I'm using it for ML and AI, and even when training models and such, it has coil whine. Any game at any FPS suffers from coil whine. Can't warranty it here in Chile since coil whine is not warranty-worthy.

• Gigabyte 4090 Gaming-OC: Not coil whine at all, even at higher FPS in some games, or training models/AI/ML stuff, it keeps being silent.

In your case guys, if you can mention your card and model (ASUS 4090 TUF, ASUS 4080 Strix, NVIDIA 4090 FE, MSI 4070Ti SUPRIM, etc), and your PSU if you want.

Also: You can check on overclockers forum (on the 4090 side https://www.overclock.net/threads/official-nvidia-rtx-4090-owners-club.1800847/) that some people with Strix cards suffer a lot of coil whine as well.

• ASUS: Seems to suffer more coil whine than other brands
• MSI: Chance to get coil whine
• PNY: No/very low coil whine
• Gigabyte: No/very low coil whine
• Palit: Chance to get coil whine
• Zotac: low chance to get coil whine
