RM750x (2019) how to connect to a 4080

Hi, my rtx 4089 FE arrives tomorrow. But as I need to wait 3 weeks to be able to build the rest of my system I was wondering if I would be able to connect my existing psu up to the 4080 in the meantime so I can enjoy the card until it’s time to fully upgrade.

I’m quite confused on how exactly I need to connect the graphics cards as I saw the adapter that comes with the card requires 3 x 8/6+2 pin pcie cables and my psu only comes with x 2 of them, would it be safe to plug one cable direct and use the other cable with the daisy chain to occupy the last two connections for the adapter?

My pc specs are

CPU: ryzen 7 3700x RAM: 32 gb Corsair vengeance 3200mhz MOBO: ASUs strix x570-E strix gaming CPU COOLER: Corsair h100 rgb platinum AIO STORAGE: 1x 1tb nvme m.2 Samsung 970pro & and 1tb Samsun 960 eco 2.5 inch SSD
