Should I update my BIOS for RAM OC?
I have an MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4, which I currently use with a 12400f and 4x8 3600mhz cl18 RAM. Due to the locked SA voltage of this CPU, I cannot run my sticks at 3600mhz when I install all 4 of them (2 sticks are fine). So Instead, I am currently running my sticks at these values at 1.38v. It is unstable with tRFC 500 or CL15 timings.
Since the last time I updated my bios, It seems like there have been many releases with footnotes including memory improvements. Would updating my BIOS actually help push the sticks to 3600mhz? Or will the arbitrarily locked SA voltage of the CPU slap me in the face again?
Edit: It was irrelevant and resulted in zero improvement.
