Those who are OE in accounting, please describe your experience

I am strongly considering becoming OE. First, I need to land a J1 after having been laid off (fine by me - manager was an incredibly overbearing micromanager who could not be satisfied), but I'm hoping to land a J2 as soon after as I can. Can any of you please share your day to day experiences being OE as an accountant?
