Exposing the False Narrative Against Pakistan
Some Pakistanis, blinded by their hatred for the army and government, are pushing a misleading argument. They compare Pakistan’s support for Mujahideen in 80s and 90s to India’s funding of the BLA in Balochistan. While they don’t openly support the BLA, their statements indirectly justify its terrorism.
The reality is simple: Kashmir is a disputed territory, Balochistan is not. Kashmir was unjustly taken by India in 1947, despite its Muslim-majority population. The UN recognizes it as a disputed region and has called for a plebiscite to determine its future. Fighting for Kashmir is not terrorism—it is resistance against occupation.
Balochistan, on the other hand, is an integral and legal part of Pakistan. India’s support for the BLA is not about any “freedom movement”; it is direct interference in Pakistan’s internal matters. India is funding and arming terrorists to destabilize Pakistan, which is nothing short of sponsoring terrorism.
For those who deny this, Kulbhushan Yadav, a serving Indian Navy officer and RAW agent, was caught by Pakistani intelligence. In his confession, he admitted that India funds terrorism in Balochistan through the BLA. The evidence is clear.
Terrorism is wrong on either side of the border, but Pakistan’s actions in Kashmir were legitimate guerrilla warfare, not terrorism. It was a resistance against an illegal occupation in a disputed territory. In contrast, India’s support for the BLA is state-sponsored terrorism in a sovereign, undisputed part of Pakistan, aimed purely at destabilization.
Some people’s hatred for the army has made them echo narratives that harm Pakistan itself. Criticizing the government is one thing, but indirectly justifying terrorism against your own country is another. It’s time to realize which side you’re standing on.
