Passive Income for next 3-5 years

Hello, in this AI world, I am afraid that my full time engineering job (not much technical) might get obsolete in the next 3-5 years. I am wondering what do you guys think as the latest passive income ideas, say that generates $1-$2k/month? I have some time in the next few weeks where I can really work towards it.

I feel the income ideas I see on youtube are very commoditized and I doubt people make any money given that the market seems overly saturated.
