Just tried (and failed?) to RMA a thermalright AIO cooler
Ordered a thermalright frozen notte 360 AIO back in April, and yesterday it failed to cool my i7-14700k. PC shut off playing CS2.
RMAing this cooler has been a nightmare.
I went to RMA this AIO when it was showing signs of failing (bearing scraping noise, a huge increase in temps, rattling etc) and I was asked for details about my issues. I provided them and was told to send a video of the noise and bios for temps and the rpm set on the cooler. 5 days later still no response. I sent a follow up email asking the status of the RMA claim. I was then asked to send the same video. I did and reiterated that I had already sent this and the issues I have experienced had worsened over the last 5 days. I was then aired again. I sent another email stating that it had started shutting off under load. Aired.
I ordered it off amazon and even though it was past 30 days I explained that I had tried to contact the manufacturer with no luck. Amazon were extremely friendly and understanding and have accepted the return for a full refund.
Was I just unlucky with this RMA or does thermalright have a history of bad claims.
Not posting this as a sop story, just sharing my experience incase anyone wants to know how their customer service is before buying thermalright products.
