GPU Market Right Now

My god, you'd think that the price of older GPUs would fall, but the 40 series is more expensive than it was on launch. Good luck finding anything below MSRP on fb marketplace or Offerup (that aren't scams) The last time I was looking at GPUs was 2021 and it's just as bad. Has it been this bad the whole time?
