Why is there significantly more traffic lately even at 11pm on a weeknight?

Traffic has been worse than ever lately as anyone who’s had to use the road will attest to ( if you pardon the irony of complaining about traffic in your car ) but I’ve been working late shifts over the past few months and noticed a steep rise in traffic even late at night - a few months back I would see maybe 10 or 15 other cars on my commute home… last night I counted almost 50 other vehicles as I drove home

This can’t be imputed to RTO or Uni classes, so what the hell is happening?

Did our population just double? Did public transport shit the bed? Is there some boycott I’m not aware of?

Just another way in when everything seems to be getting steadily worse
