Why won't doctor see you until 7-8 weeks(possible ectopic)

I have been testing at home and my pregnancy tests have returned light lines that have darkened extremely slowly. I called my doctor who asked me to go take a urine test at urgent center to confirm pregnancy at 5 weeks. The test was inconclusive ( I was highly hydrated) I then took a blood that confirmed there pregnancy with HCG 173.5 which is very low on Friday. It's Monday and my test have if anything not changed color or gotten very slightly darker. I have had a chemical where the strips began to lighten out and two previous pregnancies that were dye stealers before week 4. I feel like something is up but doctors won't see me until week 7-8. I am terrified because tubes usually burst before then during ectopic. I am going to LabCorp to do my own HCG our of pocket test today and am so nervous that I have to advocate for myself here. Any advice from other women who have been through this?
