CONTROVERSIAL: Are you going to get your son circumcised?

We’re in the USA and having a son this fall. My spouse is circumcised but we’re both starting to wonder why. It’s not tied to any family religious practice, it’s not cultural (unless you count that Americans seem to be prone to this), and as far as I can tell it’s not more hygienic (with access to clean water and good hygiene). So we’re now wondering- should we or shouldn’t we?

Has your family made this decision before? What was your reasoning?

EDIT: This is not a post for you to shame other people. There are strong feelings on both sides. Aggressing internet strangers is not helpful to my discussion and honestly makes you look like a jerk. There are already enough jerks on FB if you just need to get your feelings out.
