Benq Tk710sti run without androidTV dongle?
Hey guys, I have a Tk710STi which works very well for what I need it. I have it set up with a sofabaton remote to turn on the projector, the google TV streamer and the onkyo receiver and control it all. So far so good, and in 95% of the time it works well.
However sometimes, for some reason, the projector doesn't turn on and switch to HDMI2 where the input form the receiver is connected but instead opens the androidTV input from the dongle that's connected at the back of the projector (dongle comes with the projector but is removable).
This is annoying because my sofabaton cannot change the inputs on the projector if that happens, so I need to go get the projector remote and change it. Just an inconvenience.
OK, so I thought i'm smart and to avoid this issue, I can just unplug the androidTV dongle from the projector because I don't want to ever use it anyway.
EHHHH wrong!
If i turn on the projector without a dongle plugged in, I instead get a warning popup window that says "dongle not connected". and of course, you guessed it, I can't dismiss that warning popup with the sofabaton, I again need to go get the projector remote to get rid of the warning.
I looked through all possible settings I could find, but did not figure it out - hence asking all of you:
can I somehow turn off this dongle check in the tk710sti so I can run the projector without a dongle connected but without every single time triggering the alarm popup? why does the projector insist on the damn dongle?
thanks!
