Question to people with characters that lived 1 year+: How did you keep yourself occupied?

This isn’t critique of the game, I find it very fun. Problem is, I find myself getting bored easily after I do things like make a base and raid the important/hard to raid structures on the map, and then just make a new save. How do you guys keep from being bored? Am I just a dopamine fiend or am I missing something?
