do you have a crate dedicated to your vehicle at all times when driving around town with your pup?

Right now I only have one crate for my pup in my bedroom where she sleeps in it at night. I live in a downtown area so getting my crate into and out of my car every time I want to go somewhere would get old quick. I am thinking of just putting an additional crate for my car and leaving it there. Is that what you guys are doing?
