Got a job and then got fired. Lol.

Got hired because business is booming guys! We need to expand! 2/09

4 interviews.

Got fired because I asked for a single break during my 9 hour shifts when everyone else in the organization takes hour+ lunches daily. 3/25

This is after over a month of jerking me around, making me burn my own gas to commute when I’m remote with no reimbursement, having me use any time given as a break to commute back home to work because the office was closing, and a lot of empty promises.

They replaced me with someone who has the same name so clients wouldn’t notice over the phone, just to rub some salt in the wound.

Life is awesome.

ETA: Wow! So many people calling me fake. Go fuck yourselves. Some key details since everyone wants to know:

The office is nowhere near my actual home and being reimbursed for gas when you’re expected to be in office and hired to be remote is in the company handbook! I was not hired to work in office or work office hours. :)

It’s not hard to replace me with someone with my own name, I have a very very very common name. It was in the top 10 for the entire decade surrounding my birth.

I was only driving to the office because the people who actually live nearby (owner and director of finance) cannot be bothered to be in office! Ever! :) I was there to pick up packages like an errand person, on my own personal time, and not being paid for it.

I live in an at will state that doesn’t require breaks of any kind! :)

The company outsources all of its actual labor for poverty wages to contractors, making the company effectively only 20 or so people large! :)
