Deadalus and Son Bug (Red Dead Redemption 1 - PC)

Hey all, I'm currently trying to complete the Stranger Quest Deadalus and Son, but I'm unable to complete it. I have the adequate number of materials, I started the quest as John. When I try to give Charles the materials, a pop-up shows 'Return to Charles when you have 20 feathers, 5 beaver furs, and 10 red sage' (again, which I have all of.) Any tips would be wonderful. Thank you

(Also, yes, I finished Irish's quest- I'm really not sure what's wrong.)
