Display Animals

Hello, Let me start out by saying that I am visually impaired. I have a couple reptiles of my own. I have a crested gecko that lives in a bioactive enclosure and I do not handle it. I also just got a blue tongue skink about a week ago, and I am planning to move it into a bigger enclosure and also make it bioactive.

My question overall is about display animals. I would like to get the skink handleable, but it is not a priority of mine. I am fine with just having it as a display animal in my house. It is not that I am afraid of handling my reptiles. I just cannot read their body language because of my visual impairment. I also know that reptiles do not enjoy being handled for the most part. Would there be any long-term effects of me not handling my animals? Would it be ok it I did not handle my animals and had them only as display?
