Help on How to Navigate the space in-between Houses
Hello Community!
The space between our home and the neighboring building is completely overrun with plants that my wife and I are hoping to clean up, however it is very unclear what I can or can’t do in this buffer space. This is our first time owning, and there is a lot to dive into, so I am looking for advice on the following, anything would be helpful!
How does one figure out exactly where the property line for homes extend? It is unclear which building has the “rights” to this in between space, and would love to know these details before we ask/tell the neighbors our intent.
The building next to ours is a multi-unit building, with all of the units rented out. How would you all recommend we try to communicate with the owner of the building? How can we find out who the owner or property manager is?
Any other thoughts here? The trees are literally scratching our walls on windy days, so we need to take care of this.
