Should I text my old friend?

I have an old friend of mine, we haven’t talked for two years (we argued for some stupid stuff and I impulsively blocked him). I noticed that on New Year’s Eve he started liking my stories on telegram, and he sent me flowers (anonymously though) on my birthday. He used to send me gifts when we talked, so I assumed it must be him. I don’t know if he’s giving me hints and he wants to reconnect? He doesn’t proceed to text me, and didn’t send any “signals” last year. What does it mean? Should I text him? I do miss him, even though we haven’t met in real life.
