I’m Karishma Kewalramani, and I’m on a mission to reshape beauty standards while building one of India’s most inclusive beauty brands — FAE Beauty.

After earning my B.Sc. in Business from the University of California, Berkeley, I started my career as a management consultant at A.T. Kearney’s San Francisco office. But it was my return to India that sparked something bigger — the need to create a beauty brand that truly represents brown skin in all its forms, without filters or edits.

I spotted a huge gap in the market — makeup that actually caters to Indian skin tones without costing a fortune. That’s how FREE AND EQUAL BEAUTY (FAE Beauty) was born, built on the belief that beauty should be free from stereotypes and equal for all, no matter how you look or identify.

At FAE Beauty, we never photoshop, filter, or edit our imagery or campaigns. What you see is exactly what you get — unfiltered and authentic.

When I’m not building FAE, you’ll probably find me living by my favourite motto (and FAE’s too) — 'Main apni favourite hoon' — whether I’m trying on a new Lip Whip, manifesting a world where beauty has no rules, exploring every cute coffee shop in Bandra’s by lanes, or hanging out with my Chief Happiness Officer (my dog, of course).
