Octavia - Cannot make primary user

I bought a 2020 Octavia hatch recently and when I try to make my user the primary user it just loads/spins forever. Looking around online it seems it needs an Octavia engineer to fix but has anyone managed to fix this themselves? Does a factory reset work?
