Help/advice

Hey yall, so I’m really considering making my own music but I’m not sure AT ALL how to even start… if yall could drop some suggestions on good mics, apps for editing, tips on how to make the voice and music sound echoy/dreamy/ethereal, some sites that have free beats, (I found some beats on youtube that are free as long as I give the guy credit, but I’m not sure how to transfer that into garage band)… would be greatly appreciated! :)
