Hello there! I'm am Wolfrik, and after a strange chain of events, I've gone from being a player in this cross play community to being the head, running the server.
Later today we have planned a big event as we say goodbye to the world we've been playing on for the last few months, giving it a nice send-off before starting a new world! It's the perfect time to join a growing community and play space engineers with new friends!
Our current world is a rover focused world on the planet of Crait, and the new one with be more space focused, in a black hole system with a Earth like (Tera) like planet.
Here's our ever growing and changing lore, we have two main PvE factions, and three PvP factions.
The Shattered Expanse: A Universe on the Edge
In the distant reaches of the galaxy, a once-thriving star system met its doom when a rogue black hole, known as Los, devoured its sun. The cataclysm shattered the system, leaving behind a desolate expanse of asteroids, debris, and a single surviving planet—Tera. This remarkably Earth-like mirror world, miraculously spared from annihilation, now orbits the Maw, its gravity well bending time and space around it. Tera is a fragile oasis in an otherwise hostile void, its lush biomes and breathable atmosphere a stark contrast to the cold, lifeless asteroids that dominate the system.
The survivors of the cataclysm have split into distinct factions, each vying for survival and dominance in this unforgiving environment. The Neutral Alliance, a coalition of engineers, scientists, and traders, seeks to maintain peace and rebuild what was lost. They operate under a strict code of non-human aggression, focusing on resource gathering, technological advancement, and the preservation of Space. However, their neutrality is constantly tested by the ambitions of others.
The Faenus INC, a multiversal mega corporation. They take on any contract for a price, whether it entails acquisition, construction, scouting, hauling or more. Faenus is both feared and respected, their loyalty as fluid as the credits they earn.
Meanwhile, three warring factions—The Dark Mechacum, Serpents of Exis, and *Scrap force of the Infinite Armada *—fight for control of the system's scarce resources and the strategic advantage of space. Each faction claims to be the rightful heir to the system's legacy, their ideologies and methods as different as their leaders. The dark mechacum, a militaristic order, seeks to impose strict discipline and order. The scrap force, a ruthless band of pirates and scavengers, thrive on chaos and plunder. The Serpents of exis, believe they are destined to harness the power of the Los and ascend to godhood.
The black hole itself looms over the system, a constant reminder of the fragility of existence. Its gravitational pull warps asteroid fields, creating treacherous navigation hazards, while its event horizon whispers promises of untold power to those daring enough to venture close. Some say the Maw holds the secrets of the ancients, while others believe it is a harbinger of doom, slowly consuming the system bit by bit.
In this fractured universe, alliances are fleeting, and survival is never guaranteed. Whether you choose to build, trade, or conquer, the Shattered Expanse offers no easy path—only the relentless struggle to endure.
