Early game tips

Heyo I've been loving the game but I feel like I'm stuck around 300k or so in cash. I feel like I'm picking up good trades and by the time I make it to the planet to sell the demand stabilizes. What's the best way to make money?

Also, are there just any general early game tips I should be knowing about? I'm only about an hour or so in and I'm not really sure the best way to build myself up
