what printer is best for a college student

hello fellow students, i need your help to choose what brand and model of printer is reliable for a student. a bit of background about who will use the printer for academics. a nursing student and a student taking up legal management. both programs are heavy on printing academic materials especially on cases readings that need to be printed. our previous printer broke down already we prefer printers that has an ink tank.
