Senior assassin strategies/tips/advice/stories?

It's my last semester of HS and my school is doing Senior Assasin. Whether or not you've participated before, was wondering if you guys...
Had any strategies, tips, or advice when going about it? I'm both tryna win and have fun.
Had any cool stories pertaining to a game/competition like this that happened to you or somebody else
For clarity, my school is doing teams of 6, having your location tracked via an app, and having us wear goggles if you're not participating at that time. I'm not trying to break the bank but I'm down to buy high quality equipment (we're using water guns) and play dirty/use tactics, within reason.
