Crashing out (M18) (F18)

Hey y’all. (All names are fake in this btw) Last year when I was a Junior, I dated this girl Lucy who was a senior. Lucy had a friend named Cassie, who at the time was dating my friend, another junior named Wendell. Lucy and I broke up after a couple months, while Wendell and Cassie dated up until January of this year. Of course, Cassie and Lucy both graduated. Here’s where things get interesting. For about the past month or so, Cassie has been NOT leaving me alone. She’s liking my stories, liking my notes, replying to them even. Furthermore, the snapping is crazy. She’s really pretty, and I personally have only had good interactions with her. She even lives in my neighborhood.
Sounds perfect right? I had to investigate, so I went to my other friend, Sam, who’s gf is best friends with Cassie for advice about her. He told me that she’s extremely chaotic, unstable, and a little psycho. Quote: “the kind to kiss guys in bars” according to him, the reason she broke up with Wendell was because she got bored of him and he didn’t want to keep trying to fix her. Furthermore, pretty much everyone I know despises her. Now, I’m actually losing it. I like her, I really do, but I know for a god damn fact that dating her would result in my downfall. WHAT DO I DO
