Need help: group therapy in highschool
Hi everyone! I just graduated last summer and recently started my very first job! I’m a first-line psychologist working with high school students (ages 13-15), and we run group therapy sessions focusing on themes like boundaries, social support, and well-being. I’m looking for creative exercise, activity, or icebreaker ideas that engage students around these themes:
1. Setting and respecting boundaries (helping students understand personal boundaries, both their own and others’)
2. Building and maintaining supportive relationships (exploring the importance of healthy connections with friends, family, and peers)
Our sessions typically last around 2 hours (2x 2hours on separate days), and I’d love to include interactive activities that encourage discussion, self-reflection, and active participation—especially those that work well with this age group.
