Is 2.8k OLED screen worth it?

I've been eyeing the P14s G5 AMD (8840HS 2.8k OLED 64GB 1 TB), but I'm having some trouble with deciding about the display. I'll mainly use the laptop for programming, browsing the internet and some light gaming.

Firstly, I find the resolution weird. I have been using a T480s (14 inch FullHD) at 100% scaling and I like it that way. But this 2.8k resolution will make everything too small at 100% and too big at 200%. So I'll have to get into fractional scaling which I have mixed feelings about.

How much does fractional scaling impact performance and how does it look? I heard it's fine on Windows, but might have some issues on Linux.

Secondly, the OLED looks nice, but it makes me feel I'll have to babysit my screen and think too much about taking care of it, instead of focusing on my work. It seems to me that OLED technology is not yet in the place of being used in office laptops.

Also, I want this laptop to last me at least 5 years so then the OLED screen doesn't seem like a good choice (although I read about some people that have no issue with OLED after more than five years).

Could I replace the OLED screen after a few years (either with another OLED or with an IPS)?
