A Week in Tbilisi and Stepantsminda, Georgia, My favorite trip this year. (Summer 2024)
Wanted to share some pictures from my favorite trip this year. A week in Georgia. What a beautiful country, with such kind people. I went solo and enjoyed a solo trip to Mt. Kazbek. Spent a few nights in the town of Stepantsminda. The vibe of this mountain town is awesome, it feels quite remote and peaceful with a mix of travelers and locals seeking adventure. The food was incredible, and Georgian wine is potent and a post hike must. Seriously recommend Georgia for travelers looking for a unique and affordable experience.
Photo 1: a view of Mt. kazbek, I took a hike one morning to get this view. Beautiful trails with fields of grazing horses.
Photo 2: Tbilisi, great city to explore on foot. So many beautiful neighborhoods backing on the surrounding hills.
Photo 3: Ananuri Fortress, On the drive to Stepantsminda (Mt. Kazbek) was able to stop at a few beautiful rest stops, this fortress is beautiful and worth a trip.
Photo 4: Mt. Kazbek, another shot of this beautiful mountain. So many great angles of seeing it tower over the town. This is taken from the Gergeti church on a rainy day.
Photo 5: Ananuri Fortress, a shot from inside the fortress.
Photo 6: Gergeti Church, a view of the church with such an imposing mountains surrounding, like a spot out of a movie.
