Advice for Upcoming Trip
EDIT 3/5:
You all have been so helpful…. I realize how stupid I was to think that we can squeeze all of that it. Actually been laughing at myself all morning.
Here’s our new rough itinerary:
Days 1-4: London Days 4-9: Peak District/Bakewell/Derbyshire Days 9-11: Shropshire or Birmingham (along the way to Cardiff, could help break up the trip down there?) Days 11-13: Cardiff area Day 14: London (head back home on day 15)
I need a couple recommendations for the latter half of our trip, we’re also dying to go to Exmoor national park somehow but it seems out of the way :/
Tell me what you all think about this new version!

My boyfriend and I have a two-week trip to Britain that I’m planning this summer and I’m so excited! I’d love to get some advice as to what’s worth it and what’s not, how long it’s worth staying in certain areas, if it’s worth staying the night or just go for a day in certain cities, etc.
Here’s my idea so far:
Day 1. Fly into London (arrive in the AM), explore a bit, go to dinner, stay the night
Day 2. London —> Cotswolds
Day 3. Cotswolds —> Derbyshire (I must see Mr. Darcy’s house, this is a non-negotiable, but debating if it’s worth spending a night in the area)
Day 4: Derbyshire —> Edinburgh (maybe stop in Leeds or York along the way for lunch?)
Day 5-6: Edinburgh
Day 7: Edinburgh —> Isle of Skye
Day 8-9: Isle of Skye
Day 10: Skye —> Lake District
Day 11: Lake District
Day 12: Lake District —> Cardiff (we’re going to a concert on day 13)
Day 13: Cardiff (concert night)
Day 14: Cardiff —> London
Day 15: Fly home from London
I’m worried we might be missing out on some of what London has to offer and possibly staying too long in the Isle of Skye? Also worried we may be missing out on some other hidden gems in England.
Any advice or recommendations appreciated! Thanks! 💕
