Guaranteed housing deadline approaching

Guelph is my nunmber one choice, and as soon as I will get in, I will accept. However, I was not accepted yet, and there are only 27 days left until I am no longer guaranteed housing, and I am freaking out about that. I know last year, Guelph had a masive underhousing problem, and I really want to avoid that. If I get in after the deadline, are my chances of getting into residences still good? Has anyone experienced this?
