Horrible co-op situation
Good afternoon everyone,
I currently finished my 2B term of CS and am still looking for co-ops in Fall 2024, but have not found anything. Due to very unfortunate issues and extreme demotivation, I was unable to find a co-op in my first term and had to forfeit my 1st co-op term credit. In my second term, I was truly distressed about the thought of not finding a job again, yet to no avail, I had to do WE accelerate just to meet the minimum co-op terms. I really thought I was back on track but school work and my mental health put me in a freeze and stopped me from building my resume and grinding projects to look employable, so I dug myself in a n even deeper hole this term. If I don't secure a job this term, I will most likely get kicked out of co-op. I am doing decently academically (~82 average this term) and finished all my 1st and 2nd year courses but I just don't know what to do. It is infinitely demoralizing seeing everyone else land jobs easily which is only amplified by their previous experiences where as I can't even get interviews because of my horrible previous record. If anyone has any ideas of how to get out of this distressing hell, where to start and how to remain in co-op, I would highly appreciate it.
