Don't know what to do honestly

So, i'm a seller in this case and i sold a very beautiful and mint Tissot stand for 21 watches with pillows. All mint. Sold it for 110€, its a nice deal. I shipped the package, all tight with bubble wrap and very secure.

The buyer receives the item, but its damaged. Its broken due to a singular size colision that must have been strong to break the stand.

We agree that this was the fault of the shipping company and i wanted to figure out if the insurance on the package would give me some money back and for that, he had to give his information and report it. He then holds payment and we discussed with Vinted assistance. On my end, i talked with the assistant, gave them the size of the box, pictures of the box before sending and pictures of what was in the box. I dont know what the buyer did, but he said that he was contacted and he couldnt send that information for some reason.

In the end, Vinted assistant decided to release me the payment and said that "Buyer did not respond" and i also asked if me or him could still pursue with trying to find out anything from the shipping company and Vinted said "We wont be following that request since the buyer didnt comply with their request for the information needed in a timely matter 48h".

I told the buyer and he says he wants the money. I also told him, i needed to follow with the request of Vinted in order that i could get something out of the insurance. He then said: I hate this app, i dont understand it, they didnt let me and dont care. I want my money.

Could anyone help me figure out what to do? Am i the bad guy? I even tried on my end to talk to Vinted to try and make resolution.
