Support is saying our licenses are perpetual licenses but they have an expiration date?

We migrated into Broadcom and found that our perpetual licenses have an expiration data. When we called Broadcom support and showed that they have an expiry date instead of 'Never' as expected. Support insisted that our keys are indeed perpetual and that there was just a change where you'll see the expiry date but once it's reached the products will still work, support will just expire. I'm not sure I buy that.

Has anyone else encountered the same thing before?
