Very controversial opinion of mine : most of these watches don't look that good

I've joined this sub for over an year to know more about watches at times. I honestly still dk anything. I do understand there is a certain craze for watches and I like a few of them, but most rolex Prateek philip omega look very uninteresting for the price they are. Most have very odd colors in the dial base plate with maybe silver and gold accents and those don't really look that great. I know most will be angry, but I'm just trying to understand what makes them so attractive to people. I honestly thought price as owning it is a luxury and it should stand out, but I'm pretty sure I'm completely wrong.

I do like unique watches, imo if you can afford it, those watches would be nice to see everyone sporting (grand seiko, casio A130WE nardane freak x op etc)

Could someone help me bridge the gap between what I generally like and what others generally like?
